In "Jesus is the Light of the World – Week 1," the session emphasizes Jesus as the eternal Word of God and the importance of focusing our lives on what truly lasts. Key points include trusting in the unchanging truth of God's Word, which leads to life and light for believers, and recognizing the grace and mercy of Jesus, who humbles Himself to transform hearts by grace. The study encourages cultivating a growing relationship with the living Word, Jesus, and living on the truth of what God says.
Session 2
In "Week 2 – I Am the Bread of Life," the session highlights Jesus as the true spiritual sustenance, offering life that goes beyond physical needs. The disciples' faith was tested as they learned to rely on Jesus as the provider in impossible situations, and the lesson emphasizes the importance of trusting in God's provision even before needs are visibly met. Ultimately, Jesus, the Bread of Life, calls believers to focus on spiritual nourishment, deepening their faith and understanding through His Word and truth.
Session 3
In "Lesson 3 – Jesus is the Door," the session emphasizes Jesus as the gateway to salvation, leading and protecting His followers like a shepherd with His sheep. The lesson encourages believers to listen attentively to His voice, trust Him fully, and prioritize being under the consistent teaching of God's Word. It also challenges participants to examine how they "guard the door" of their lives, while reminding them that obedience and gratitude toward God are vital to experiencing His sufficiency and blessings.
Session 4
In "Lesson 4 – I am the Good Shepherd," the session focuses on the personal relationship between believers and Jesus, emphasizing the importance of spending daily, dedicated time with Him. It highlights that Jesus, as the Good Shepherd, provides rest, protection, and guidance, while warning about the devil's tactics in spiritual warfare. The lesson encourages believers to align their lives with God's Word, which, through the Holy Spirit, brings conviction, leading to repentance, renewal, and ultimately revival.
Session 5
In "I am the Resurrection and the Life," the session emphasizes trusting in Jesus' Word even amidst difficult circumstances, knowing He always has a plan. Jesus shifts the focus from doctrine to Himself, showing that life, death, and eternity are all fulfilled in Him. The lesson highlights the power of faith, thanksgiving, and worship, with Mary’s act of extravagant devotion as an example of wholehearted trust in Jesus.
Session 6
In "The Way, the Truth, the Life," the session focuses on Jesus as the only path to the Father, emphasizing His role in bringing peace to troubled hearts. Jesus assures His disciples that knowing Him is the same as knowing God, highlighting the importance of obedience to the Word for deepening knowledge of the Father. The lesson also underscores the connection between truth and Jesus, encouraging daily gratitude and faithfulness to experience the fullness of life He provides.
